    Core Upgrade Analysis

    Motor and Power

When you hop on the all-new AQ177, you’ll immediately feel the power system has been completely transformed. Upgrading from 1200W to a 3000W single-drive integrated hub motor makes the bike noticeably more effortless and powerful in both initial acceleration and mid-range pull.

Some users are most concerned about whether such a big power increase will make the bike “too aggressive” and hard to control. You don’t need to worry about that. High power does not mean poor handling. The 3000W output has been meticulously tuned by the controller, delivering linear and predictable torque at low speeds so you can still navigate crowded city streets with ease.

Traditional Spoke Wheels vs Integrated Hub Design

Traditional spoke wheels rely on “tension” rather than “structural support.” When under load, the upper spokes tighten while the lower ones loosen slightly. Over time, spoke tension becomes uneven, causing the rim to wobble left and right during rotation. At high speeds, this leads to bike shaking.

The AQ177 60V new version uses an integrated hub motor whose design characteristics further enhance high-speed stability and safety. Because the “spokes” of the integrated wheel are die-cast as a single aluminum alloy piece together with the rim and motor housing, it delivers unmatched lateral rigidity.

At speeds above 30 mph during highway cruising or aggressive cornering, the hub shows zero deformation and no wobble, giving the vehicle excellent steering precision and a solid planted feel.

Direct Power Delivery and Instant Response

The power transmission path of the integrated hub motor is: Motor core → motor housing and aluminum alloy spokes (one rigid metal block) → rim → tire.

Whatever angle the motor housing rotates, the outer rim and tire must rotate exactly the same amount. There is no “power loss” caused by material elasticity like in traditional spoke motors.

Traditional spoke motors can experience slight elastic lag under high load, but the integrated hub motor gives you instant response the moment you twist the throttle.

This high-strength rigid system, combined with more direct power transmission, is especially suitable for users who frequently carry passengers or cargo. Even when fully loaded climbing slopes, you get continuous and powerful thrust.

    Retained Single-Drive with Optimized Performance

We did not blindly pursue a dual-drive solution in this upgrade. Many riders particularly love the AQ177 series’ classic simple and lightweight design. While dual-drive can deliver stronger power, it significantly increases overall vehicle weight.

We kept the advantages of the single-drive system while improving motor performance to achieve superior climbing capability. The AQ177 can now easily handle 45° slopes. Real-world testing shows very stable performance when climbing long slopes with two riders.

AQ177 60V Review showcasing black electric bike climbing a steep paved slope under clear blue sky, highlighting uphill performance and outdoor riding capability.

For the load test, I took the AQ177 onto a desert back-road incline with a sustained grade section on standard asphalt surface. Using a digital inclinometer, IR thermometer, and calibrated cargo weights, I ran multiple uphill starts under different rider loads to see how the upgraded 3000W single-drive system behaved in real riding conditions rather than just on paper.

With a single 165 lbs rider, throttle response felt smooth and predictable, especially during low-speed starts on the incline. The bike pulled consistently through the mid-range without sudden surging, and motor casing temperature stayed under 45°C after repeated uphill runs.

Under a two-rider setup between roughly 330–400 lbs combined weight, acceleration naturally slowed slightly, but torque delivery remained steady and controlled. The integrated hub structure also felt noticeably planted at speed, with no obvious wheel flex or instability during cornering.

For the full-load uphill test, I added cargo weight to simulate real-world delivery or passenger use and held throttle continuously on a long climb section. Even after extended uphill riding, the motor maintained stable output without noticeable power fade or overheating.

Compared with the older 1200W setup, the biggest difference wasn’t just peak power. It was how much more composed and confidence-inspiring the bike felt under sustained heavy load.

    Low-Speed High-Torque Tuning

The newly upgraded low-speed high-torque calibration, paired with automotive-grade FOC vector control algorithm, is the highlight of this upgrade. It delivers strong startup power without jerking.

When riding slowly with a child or carrying a full load of delivery packages on the rear seat, the low-end torque output is smoother and more sustained.

You won’t experience the previous “jerkiness” or “lack of power” common with lower-power motors. The riding experience becomes much more reassuring, especially suitable for beginners and female users.

Optimized Heat Management for Long Climbs

Regarding the concern about overheating during prolonged climbing, we have also made targeted optimizations. The improved motor adopts better heat dissipation structure and intelligent temperature control strategy. Temperature is well controlled during long uphill rides, with almost no noticeable power drop.

In real tests, after continuously climbing steep slopes for more than two kilometers, the motor still maintained strong output. Users do not need to worry about the embarrassing situation of “losing power halfway up the slope.”

    Low Maintenance Design

In terms of maintenance convenience, the integrated hub motor is actually much more “low-maintenance” than you might imagine. Its highly sealed structure effectively prevents mud, water, dust, and rain from invading core components.

Unlike mid-drive motors that rely on chains, freewheels, and other wearing transmission parts, everyday users almost never need to perform special adjustments on the motor itself. This significantly reduces long-term usage costs.

    Battery and Range

When you ride the new AQ177, the 60V 80Ah large-capacity battery immediately stands out. Compared to the old 48V 60Ah version, not only is the range significantly improved, but the added weight has not negatively affected handling.

In fact, this heavier battery makes the whole bike feel more stable at high speeds, especially during long-distance rides or when carrying passengers and cargo. The vehicle feels much more planted and solid.

    Everyday Commuting Convenience

For daily commuters, you only need to charge the bike 1-2 times a week. There is no need to constantly worry about running out of power. Even on longer continuous rides, range anxiety is virtually eliminated. This is especially suitable for long-time users who need long-distance or multi-segment trips.

    Charging Experience

Although the larger capacity means slightly longer charging time, in real use, as long as you do not completely drain the battery, it can be fully charged overnight.

You can hit the road the next morning with full power and enjoy a smooth riding experience without any delays caused by charging.

    Extended Real-World Range

The convenience brought by the improved range is more than just extra miles. With 80-100 miles of long-distance capability, riders can confidently go on suburban outings, long commutes, or delivery tasks without worrying about running out of power midway. This was difficult to achieve with the old model’s 60-80 miles range.

    Cold Weather Performance

The battery uses lithium iron phosphate blade cell structure, which not only increases energy density but also optimizes performance in cold weather.

In winter riding, battery degradation is minimal, range remains reliable, and overall lifespan is extended, providing strong assurance for long-term use.

    Gear System Upgrade

The AQ177 single-drive series is now equipped with a Shimano 7-speed gear system for the first time. Compared to the old single-speed version, this upgrade brings a very noticeable improvement in riding experience.

As a world-renowned shifting brand, Shimano’s 7-speed design perfectly balances city commuting and slope or loaded riding scenarios. It allows riders to freely adjust cadence according to road conditions.

On the old model, climbing or riding with cargo felt quite strenuous, and long rides easily caused fatigue. With the 7-speed transmission, you can use lower gears to reduce pedal effort and higher gears for flat roads or downhills.

This helps riders maintain a comfortable pedaling rhythm at all times. The motor’s workload is reduced as a result, which also improves range efficiency and motor durability.

Shifting across different road conditions is very smooth. Whether on rolling hills or continuous gentle slopes, riders can easily find the right gear. Even on long-distance rides, you will not encounter sudden situations where you cannot pedal or lose momentum. The overall riding experience becomes much more natural and comfortable.

The 7-speed shifter is intuitive to use. A gentle flick changes the gear. Even if you are used to single-speed riding, you can quickly get the hang of it without a complicated learning process.

During daily commuting on flat roads, you can simply stay in one fixed gear and hardly need to shift frequently.

Beyond improved comfort, the transmission also optimizes overall riding efficiency. On long trips or climbs, proper gear selection allows riders to maintain a steady cadence, reduce leg fatigue, and prevent motor overload. This helps extend the lifespan of the entire vehicle.

    Display and Intelligent Experience

    Clear Information Display

The introduction of the new M9 Display makes information presentation much clearer and more intuitive. You can easily see battery level, speed, etc., reducing the risk of looking down while riding.

Compared to the old display, the M9 has been optimized in both interface layout and font size.

    Excellent Visibility in All Conditions

In bright sunlight, the screen brightness is sufficient to keep everything clear. Important information is not affected by lighting conditions. Even under direct strong light, you can still read the data easily.

    Riding Experience In-Depth Review

    City Commuting

The all-new AQ177 60V delivers overall stable performance on city roads. Although the motor power has been upgraded to 3000W, low-speed starts remain highly controllable. You will not experience the sudden “lunging forward” feeling common in some high-power models. This is mainly thanks to the pure sine wave controller’s fine-tuned power output.

    Smooth and Linear Acceleration

The acceleration process is quite linear. Even when carrying passengers or cargo, there is no abrupt power surge. When you gently twist the throttle, the vehicle accelerates smoothly. As you increase throttle input, speed builds progressively. There is strong consistency between response and operation.

Reliable Braking in Frequent Stop-and-Go Traffic

In urban environments with frequent starts and stops, the braking system performs stably. The front dual-piston and rear dual-piston setup provides sufficient braking force. Even with higher power, it maintains good stopping distance, greatly enhancing safety for daily commuting.

    Precise Control at Low Speeds

During low-speed turns and following traffic, power delivery remains continuous without sudden surges. The vehicle is easier to control in narrow streets or when starting at traffic lights, reducing any sense of tension.

    Long-Distance Riding and Climbing

The AQ177 60V’s advantages in long-distance riding come primarily from the combination of excellent range and strong power reserves.

The 80-100 miles range makes route planning much more flexible and significantly reduces the frequency of recharging.

    Strong Climbing Performance

In terms of climbing, the improved single-drive integrated hub motor provides stronger low-speed torque output. When facing steeper slopes, power delivery remains stable without noticeable drop or interruption. The maximum climbing ability reaches the 45° level.

    Stable Performance on Long Climbs

During extended uphill riding, the motor’s temperature control is quite stable. Combined with the 7-speed gear system, you can reduce pedaling pressure by shifting to lower gears. This allows riders to maintain a relatively steady cadence, reducing leg fatigue.

    Enhanced Stability When Loaded

In loaded scenarios, the whole bike feels more solid. Center of gravity stability has improved noticeably. High-speed cruising and long-distance riding become smoother, with far less floating sensation.

    Consistent Power Delivery

The long-distance riding experience leans toward “continuous output.” Power does not suddenly weaken, making it ideal for riders who need stable performance over long distances.

    Off-Road and Special Road Conditions

In light off-road and complex road conditions, the AQ177 60V’s hub motor structure shows high reliability. The enclosed design reduces the risk of mud, water, and dust entering internal components, making it well-suited for gravel roads, muddy areas, and uneven surfaces.

    Good Suspension and Power Matching

The suspension system matches well with power output. It effectively absorbs some road impacts, providing noticeable cushioning of vibrations and improving overall comfort.

7-Speed System Benefits in Varied Terrain

The newly equipped 7-speed transmission plays a significant role in riding comfort on complex terrain. When the road has continuous slopes or undulations, pedaling load changes constantly. Without gears, pedaling force can feel inconsistently light or heavy, leading to quicker fatigue on long rides.

    Strong Grip and Controllability

Traction and power control work well together. The vehicle maintains strong controllability during low-speed turns and on complex surfaces. Power delivery changes linearly, reducing discomfort from sudden acceleration.

I ran the AQ177 through a looped test route just behind our workshop, covering fresh asphalt, loose gravel service roads, packed dirt trails, and a short mixed section with scattered rocks and shallow ruts. I used a phone inclinometer to check slope changes and a basic garage scale to verify the load before each run.

On asphalt, the bike felt planted and predictable at around 25–30 mph. Even with light cornering and throttle adjustments, there was no headshake or nervous front-end behavior. It stayed calm and easy to keep in line, setting a solid baseline before moving onto rougher surfaces.

On gravel, I ran multiple 200–300 meter passes at steady throttle. The vibration was a little noticeable but controlled, mostly coming through the rear rather than the bars.

It never felt harsh or unstable, just a clear increase in surface feedback compared to asphalt. The front end remained steady and didn’t require constant correction.

On dirt sections with looser topsoil and shallow ruts, traction stayed consistent under moderate throttle. The rear would step slightly on sharper inputs, but it was always predictable and easy to recover.

On the mixed terrain section, where gravel transitions into dirt and back onto asphalt, stability at speed was impressive.

Even close to 30 mph over uneven patches, the chassis remained composed with no noticeable wobble.

Compared to typical mid-power hub setups I’ve tested, the AQ177 felt more settled through surface changes and required minimal steering adjustments to stay on line.

What Existing Aq177 Riders Will Feel After Upgrading

For users who already own the old AQ177 48V model, the most direct change in this upgrade comes from the simultaneous improvement in power reserve and range capability. The 60V system paired with a larger capacity battery gives the vehicle more ample margin during startup, climbing, and high-speed cruising.

In actual riding, the most obvious difference is not just that it is faster, but that it feels more stable.” On the old model, power would gradually become strained in the later stages of long slopes or high-load conditions.

The new version maintains a more stable output rhythm in similar scenarios. The riding feel is closer to continuous propulsion rather than gradually weakening.
The improvement in range also changes usage habits.

Users who ride more frequently can noticeably reduce charging frequency. Daily use becomes closer to “weekly management” rather than “daily anxiety.” This change is especially obvious in commuting or delivery scenarios.

This generation of upgrade feels like expanding the usage boundaries outward, making riding scenarios that previously required advance planning much more free.

    Purchase Reference for New Users

The overall positioning of the AQ177 60V is not simply pursuing extreme performance in one single aspect. Instead, it focuses on balanced optimization of power, range, and carrying capacity.

Compared with similar products in the same class, its more obvious advantage lies in maintaining good controllability even under high power output, while also offering longer range and strong load-carrying ability.

    Safety and Controllability

In terms of safety, the power upgrade does not create any difficult-to-control issues. The pure sine wave controller makes starting and low-speed operation more linear, reducing discomfort caused by sudden acceleration.

    Strong Load Capacity

The load-carrying capacity has been increased to the 500 LBS level. This allows the vehicle to maintain stable structural performance when carrying passengers or cargo, without obvious performance degradation.

    Improved Climbing Capability

Climbing ability has been enhanced to the 25°-45° range, making more complex terrain accessible. Even on steeper slopes, the bike can maintain stable output instead of relying on sprint-style power to get through.

Who Is This Bike More Suitable For

This bike is suitable for riders who frequently do medium to long-distance rides, riders who need to handle sloped commutes, and users with passenger or cargo carrying needs. At the same time, it is ideal for those who want to reduce charging frequency and improve daily convenience.

It is less suitable for users with extremely short-distance commuting or those with high demand for lightweight riding. In these scenarios, the advantages of the high-power configuration cannot be fully utilized.

    Conclusion

The upgraded AQ177 60V delivers exactly what serious riders have been waiting for: stronger 3000W power, better range, and true all-day usability without sacrificing control. If you want a reliable, high-performance e-bike that feels planted and confident in every situation, this is it.

    FAQ

What are the main upgrades in the AQ177 60V?

The Aniioki AQ177 60V has been upgraded from a 1200W to a 3000W single-drive integrated hub motor, paired with a larger 60V 80Ah battery and a Shimano 7-speed system. These enhancements provide stronger acceleration, climbing ability up to 45°, improved high-speed stability, and a real-world range of 80–100 miles.

How does the integrated hub motor improve riding performance?

In the Aniioki AQ177 60V, the 3000W integrated hub motor features a rigid one-piece aluminum alloy design that eliminates spoke flex found in traditional wheels. This design ensures zero wobble at speeds above 30 mph, instant throttle response, precise steering, and excellent stability on corners and highways.

Does the higher power make the AQ177 60V difficult to control?

No. The Aniioki AQ177 60V maintains predictable handling despite the 3000W motor. Its pure sine wave controller delivers linear torque at low speeds, providing smooth acceleration without sudden surges, making it safe to ride in crowded streets or with passengers.

What is the climbing capability of the new AQ177 60V?

The Aniioki AQ177 60V can easily handle slopes up to 45° thanks to its upgraded 3000W integrated hub motor. It maintains stable power even under heavy loads, with no noticeable fade on long uphill rides.

How much range does the AQ177 60V actually deliver?

Equipped with a 60V 80Ah battery, the Aniioki AQ177 60V delivers a real-world range of 80–100 miles. Most riders can charge only once or twice a week, significantly reducing range anxiety for commuting, delivery work, or weekend adventures.

How long does it take to charge the AQ177 60V?

A full charge of the Aniioki AQ177 60V’s 80Ah battery takes around 6–8 hours using the standard charger. Daily users often only need a partial overnight charge, making it convenient for regular use.

Is the AQ177 60V easy to maintain?

Yes. The Aniioki AQ177 60V’s integrated hub motor is highly sealed to protect against dust, water, and mud. Unlike chain-driven mid-drive motors, it requires minimal maintenance, lowering long-term ownership costs.

How durable is the AQ177 60V for daily use?

The Aniioki AQ177 60V combines a rigid integrated hub motor with quality components like the Shimano 7-speed system and dual-piston brakes, making it highly durable for everyday riding.

Is the AQ177 60V suitable for carrying heavy loads?

Yes. The Aniioki AQ177 60V supports up to 500 lbs and remains stable even with two riders. Its strong low-speed torque ensures confident performance on slopes.

What are the benefits of the Shimano 7-speed system?

The Aniioki AQ177 60V’s Shimano 7-speed transmission allows riders to adjust cadence according to terrain, reducing leg fatigue, improving efficiency, lowering motor workload, and making long-distance rides more comfortable.
