    The Aniioki A9 Pro Max 3.0 is not the fastest bike in this lineup, but it makes a strong case for being the most complete high-performance option. The Aniioki A9 Pro Max 2.0 is also a more popular and more affordable model, priced at just $2,899 and delivering up to 6,000W of peak power.

    Aniioki A9 Pro Max 3.0‘s dual direct-drive motors produce 7,000W of combined peak power, just behind the EKX X21 Max's 8,000W, while its 51 mph (82 km/h) top speed is also close to the 60 mph (97 km/h) offered by the X21 Max.

    For a 6000W-class e-bike, though, outright speed is only part of the equation. Once yo u're riding at 50 mph (80 km/h) or more, having enough braking control becomes just as important as having enough motor power.

    That is where the A9 Pro Max 3.0 separates itself from the other bikes in this list. Its CBS braking system links the front and rear brakes, allowing both wheels to contribute to deceleration when the braking system is activated.

    With independent brakes, relying heavily on only the front brake during an emergency can put a large portion of the braking load on the front wheel, while relying mainly on the rear brake can increase the chance of rear-wheel sliding during hard braking or on low-traction surfaces. CBS helps distribute braking across both wheels for more stable braking control.

    The hardware behind that system is also substantial. The A9 uses dual 300mm front rotors with 8-piston calipers and a 300mm rear rotor with a 6-piston caliper, giving it 14 pistons across the front and rear braking system. If that wheel spins or loses grip, the motor’s available power cannot be effectively transferred to the ground, which can make it harder to maintain forward momentum, climb loose surfaces, or recover from a loss of traction.

    With AWD, both the front and rear wheels can provide drive. This spreads the available motor power across two contact points, so if one wheel temporarily loses traction, the other can still contribute to forward movement.

    That gives the A9 more usable traction and better control on loose or changing surfaces. It does not guarantee that the bike will get unstuck, but the two-wheel drive system provides a clear traction advantage over a single driven wheel in challenging conditions.

    Battery capacity is another area where the A9 has a clear advantage. Its 60V 80Ah battery stores 4,800Wh, the largest capacity in this comparison. The listed PAS range is 105–235 miles (169–378 km), while throttle range is listed at 85–90 miles (137–145 km). That gives the A9 a much larger energy reserve than the 1,800Wh batteries used by the Freego X2 Pro and EKX X21 Max.

    The 26×4.8-inch puncture-resistant CST tires are also the widest in this lineup. That extra tire width is useful when riding on sand, snow, grass, or other soft surfaces, where a wider contact patch can help the bike stay on top of the terrain rather than sink as easily as a narrower tire.

    Real-World Riding Experience

    In GPS testing, Aniioki A9 Pro Max reached 51 mph (82 km/h), while climbing 12% to 20% grades, including an 85-foot elevation gain, it could accelerate from 20 mph (32 km/h) to around 30–36 mph (48–58 km/h) on throttle alone. There was no need to add pedal input to keep the bike moving uphill.

    What stands out more than the raw speed is how smoothly the power comes in. The dual direct-drive motors deliver strong, steady push without the abrupt jerking sensation that can make a high-power bike harder to manage. They are also very quiet, with the motor itself producing little noticeable mechanical noise. After repeated high-load acceleration and sustained climbs, there was no obvious drop in power.

    The A9 also handled rougher surfaces with a planted feel. During an 18-mile (29 km), 1-hour-26-minute throttle-heavy ride that included repeated full-throttle acceleration, climbs, and sand, the display dropped by only one battery bar, with four of five bars remaining. The dual air fork with compression damping adjustment felt relatively soft over bumps, while the 26×4.8-inch tires and substantial overall weight helped keep the bike stable during faster straight-line riding.

    If your typical riding includes long distances, heavy loads, loose surfaces, or changing terrain, the combination of 7,000W peak power, AWD, a 4,800Wh battery, wide 26×4.8-inch tires, and a high-spec braking system gives you more margin to work with.

    It is also a better fit for riders who regularly carry substantial weight. With a 500 lb (227 kg) maximum payload, it has the highest load rating in this comparison.

    Drawbacks

    The biggest difference is its off-road setup. Its 19-inch motorcycle-grade tires, inverted front fork, and KKE rear shock give it a design that is noticeably closer to a lightweight electric dirt bike than a conventional fat-tire e-bike. The narrower tire profile also gives the front end a more direct feel when you're changing direction or correcting your line on uneven ground.

    Weight makes an even bigger difference off-road. At 123 lb (56 kg), the X2 Pro is roughly 70 lb (32 kg) lighter than the Aniioki A9 Pro Max 3.0. That is not just a number on the spec sheet. On a trail, less weight makes the bike easier to steer, lean through corners, control on climbs and descents, and reposition when the terrain forces you to change your line. It also makes the bike less burdensome to move or load when the trail ends.

    The inverted fork is another reason the X2 Pro feels different from a typical fat-tire e-bike.     Real-World Riding Experience

    The Freego X2 Pro feels more lively once the road starts to open up. With Off-road mode enabled, full-throttle testing on flat ground reached around 38 mph (61 km/h), while a slight downhill section pushed the GPS-tested maximum to approximately 42–43 mph (68–69 km/h). That is below the advertised 50 mph (80 km/h), so riders should set expectations based on actual conditions rather than assuming the headline number will always be reachable.

    The 80A FarDriver controller gives the rear motor plenty of room to deliver power under heavy throttle use. During testing in temperatures around 15°F (-9°C), repeated full-throttle runs and high-load riding caused noticeable voltage sag from the battery, which is normal under that kind of demand. The motor itself did not show obvious overheating or a meaningful loss of power during the test.

    What makes the X2 Pro more interesting is how the power works with its lighter chassis. At 123 lb (56 kg), it feels easier to position and correct than a much heavier high-power e-bike, especially when the road or trail becomes uneven.
